Hayley’s Hope
The mission of Hayley’s Hope is to provide education, awareness, and hope.
We are available to speak at your school, church, youth group, teen drop-in center, or parent groups.
We are reminded of our loss every day, and it is our heartfelt desire to do what we can to prevent this from happening to another family. The world that teens live in today is not an easy one – there are social pressures that we never had to face when we were younger; there are academic pressures that are pushing our children to the limits; and there are family dynamic pressures that often make children grow up faster than they need to.
Young adults feel that the only way to make things better is to take themselves out of the equation. They want to end the pain, not necessarily their life! Every story that is related to teen suicide is a complex one – it is not just a single factor, or an act of whim, but rather a series of complex thoughts and actions that lead to the attempt or the follow-through. It is a choice of the individual. We are certainly not experts in the field, and we will not provide professional advice – we will however tell our story, the effects it had on us, and will guide you in the right direction for professional help.
